David Duchovny (left) and Gillian Anderson return as special agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully in "The X-Files: I Want to Believe."
(20th Century Fox/AP)
Truth lies in 'X-Files' Roger Ebert: "The X-Files: I Want to Believe" arrives billed as a "stand-alone" film that requires no familiarity with the famous television series. Hours after word of his departure from ‘‘At the Movies with Ebert & Roeper,’’ Sun-Times columnist Richard Roeper posted on his Twitter feed: ‘‘With all the old footage and the person-on-the-street interviews, it’s like watching your own obit.’’ Or maybe an obituary for influential, well-informed film criticism on TV.

''The name 'All Sides' was thought of almost two years ago, when I started writing the demos, 'cause I didn't want to get caught up in the same musical style on every song,'' says Roberge.
