Improving Orton probable for Pack
It's not often in the last decade that the Bears have looked forward to the quarterback carousel spinning around. Count Sunday's game at Lambeau Field as one of those times. Kyle Orton was listed Friday as probable on the injury report and is expected to start against the Green Bay Packers with first place in the NFC North on the line.

Rams RB Jackson out again

St. Louis Rams running back Steven Jackson will not play Sunday against the 49ers because of his injured right thigh, and coach Jim Haslett said he won't even make the trip.

Bears' 'D' needs more than a shuffling secondary
Lovie Smith humorously announced two years ago that he was getting out of the injury forecasting business. Dr. Smith had retired. That's fine, but the Bears (5-4) had better hope there's a doctor in the house at Halas Hall this week. Smith needs to write a prescription for a pass defense that's entering a critical game at Green Bay.
